Dalaman Airport (DLM) is the closest airport to Marmaris, Fethiye, Göcek and Kaş. Airport buses run by the Muğla municipal company Muttaş, and listed by Havaş, go to Fethiye via Göcek and to Marmaris. There is no airport bus to Kaş, so for Kaş you either change in Fethiye or take a taxi, transfer or hire car. Taxis and car hire desks operate around the clock.

Short answer

  • Göcek and Fethiye: take the airport bus (Muttaş line 48-25, via Göcek to Fethiye bus station). The Muttaş fare table lists 220 TL to Göcek and 300 TL to Fethiye Otogar (as of October 2026).
  • Marmaris: the airport bus (Muttaş line 48-26) runs via Ortaca, Köyceğiz and Gökova to Marmaris bus station. Fare 420 TL (as of October 2026). Allow about 1.5 hours.
  • Kaş: no direct airport bus. Take the bus to Fethiye and continue by intercity bus, or book a taxi, private transfer or hire car for the roughly 150–180 km drive.
  • Taxis: the official airport taxi cooperative publishes a fixed price list, for example 3,000 TL to Fethiye, 5,000 TL to Marmaris and 8,000 TL to Kaş (as of October 2026). You pay at the destination.
  • Late at night: airport buses follow flight arrivals, and guides say they are timed to domestic flights. If you land at night on an international flight, book a transfer or taxi in advance.
  • Kaş via Antalya: Antalya Airport is about 185–200 km from Kaş, a little further than Dalaman, but it often has more flights.

Distances and drive times

Published distances vary because sources measure to different points (town centre, bus station, hotel area). Treat these as approximate.

From Dalaman Airport to Distance (approx.) Drive or bus time (approx.)
Göcek 20–30 km about 30 minutes by airport bus
Fethiye 45–60 km about 1 hour by airport bus
Marmaris 90–105 km about 1.5 to 1.75 hours by car, about 1.5 hours by bus
Kaş 150–180 km about 2 to 3 hours by car

The airport bus distances come from Muttaş (97 km to Marmaris, 59 km to Fethiye Otogar, 22 km to Göcek). The taxi cooperative’s price list gives 105 km to Marmaris, 60 km to Fethiye, 30 km to Göcek and 180 km to Kaş. Other guides put Kaş at about 150 to 180 km and quote 2 to 3 hours of driving. The road to Kaş follows the D400 along the coast past Fethiye and Kalkan, and Fethiye to Kaş alone is about 110 km.

Airport buses: Muttaş and Havaş

The airport’s own website lists two shuttle operators, Havaş and Muttaş, both serving Marmaris and Fethiye. Muttaş is the public transport company of Muğla Metropolitan Municipality. Havaş, the airport ground-handling company, also lists Dalaman bus services to Marmaris and Fethiye on its website, but does not publish times or fares there. Muttaş publishes both, so the details below come from Muttaş. Some Turkish travel sites give identical fares for “Havaş” and Muttaş. We could not confirm from Havaş itself whether these are separate services, so in practice look for the shuttle buses outside the terminal.

Line 48-25: airport – Göcek – Fethiye

  • Stops: two stops in Göcek (by the BP and Petrol Ofisi fuel stations), then Yanıklar, Acarlar, Çiftlik junction and Günlükbaşı, ending at Fethiye Otogar (bus station).
  • Fares (as of October 2026): 220 TL to Göcek, 300 TL to Fethiye Otogar, according to the Muttaş airport fare table. The table also lists 540 TL to Hisarönü, but the Muttaş line list only shows the Fethiye Otogar route, so check with the driver if you are heading for Hisarönü or Ölüdeniz.
  • Time: about an hour to Fethiye.

Line 48-26: airport – Ortaca – Köyceğiz – Gökova – Marmaris

  • Stops: Ortaca (by Yücelen Hospital), Köyceğiz on the D400, Gökova junction, then Marmaris Otogar.
  • Fare (as of October 2026): 420 TL to Marmaris.
  • Time: about 1.5 hours.

How the airport buses work

  • Departures from the airport have no fixed timetable. Muttaş states that departures from Dalaman to Fethiye and to Marmaris change according to aircraft landing times. Several guides say the buses are timed to domestic arrivals, so after an international flight you may have to wait for the next one.
  • Departures towards the airport run to a published daily schedule that changes day by day. In mid-October 2026, for example, the Marmaris timetable showed seven or eight departures a day, some of them in the small hours.
  • No reservations or advance tickets. Muttaş says it does not take bookings for airport buses, and that credit cards are accepted on all vehicles.
  • Where to board: the airport site says the shuttles leave from the car park area outside the terminal. Tell the driver in advance if you want to get off at a point along the main road.
  • Final stop is the bus station, not your hotel. In Marmaris and Fethiye, change to a dolmuş (minibus) or taxi for the last stretch.

Muttaş notes that times can change because of weather, traffic or flight changes, and updates its route pages accordingly.

Public bus to Kaş via Fethiye

There is no Havaş or Muttaş airport bus to Kaş. The usual public transport route is the airport bus to Fethiye Otogar, then an intercity bus or minibus from Fethiye to Kaş, about 110 km further along the coast. We could not find a published timetable from an operator for the Fethiye–Kaş leg, so check departures at Fethiye bus station or with the bus companies on the day.

Local minibuses also run between Dalaman town centre and the airport, under the supervision of the metropolitan municipality, and board on the departures floor. Dalaman has its own bus station, but we could not confirm direct Dalaman–Kaş buses from an operator’s own timetable. With luggage and after a flight, this is a long trip. If you want to be in Kaş the same evening, a taxi, transfer or hire car is far simpler.

Taxi

Taxis at Dalaman Airport are provided by the Dalaman Airport Taxi Cooperative, which the airport’s website names as the official service. The cooperative publishes a price list with one fare per destination in lira, euros, pounds and dollars. As of October 2026 it showed:

Destination Fare (TL) Fare (EUR)
Göcek 1,400 30
Dalyan 1,650 35
Fethiye 3,000 60
Hisarönü / Ölüdeniz 3,500 70
Marmaris 5,000 100
İçmeler 5,200 100
Kalkan 6,500 125
Kaş 8,000 155

The list has no date and does not say whether it covers night journeys or per-vehicle pricing. A Turkish travel site updated in October 2026 lists noticeably lower taxi fares, so agree the price before you set off. The cooperative says fares are paid at the destination and that it can be reached around the clock by phone or WhatsApp for bookings.

Private and shared transfers

Many companies offer pre-booked transfers from Dalaman, either private (just your party) or shared (a minibus that drops several groups at different hotels).

Private transfer, pros: someone waits for you whatever time you land, the price is fixed before you travel, and you go straight to the door. It is the most practical choice for families, late arrivals and Kaş.

Private transfer, cons: for a couple going only to Göcek or Fethiye it usually costs much more than the airport bus.

Shared transfer, pros and cons: cheaper per person than a private car, but you wait for other passengers and make extra hotel stops, which can add a lot of time on the long Marmaris and Kaş routes.

Prices vary by vehicle, season and company, so compare a few offers and check what happens if your flight is delayed. Some hotels in Kaş also arrange airport transfers.

Car hire

The airport says car hire is available 24 hours, with desks on the arrivals floor. Companies with official offices at the airport include Avis, Budget, Sixt, Enterprise and Garenta, among others. A hire car makes most sense for Kaş, Kalkan and the coast between them, or if you want to explore away from the main towns.

One guide warns that some desks may be closed at night unless they are expecting you, so book in advance and give your flight number. If you are thinking of taking a car to the Greek islands, read taking a car to the Greek islands first, and check whether your rental agreement allows it.

Arriving late at night

  • Airport bus: one guide says that after a late-night or early-morning international arrival you may wait until about 8:00–9:00 for a bus. The Muttaş timetables do show some departures in the middle of the night, but whether one meets your flight depends on domestic arrivals.
  • Taxi: available 24 hours. Use the official cooperative and confirm the fare first.
  • Transfer: the most reliable option. Pre-book and give your flight number so the driver can track delays.
  • Car hire: book ahead and tell the company your arrival time.

Kaş: Dalaman or Antalya Airport

Antalya Airport is about 185–200 km from Kaş, roughly 2.5 to 3 hours by road, compared with about 150–180 km from Dalaman. The routes from Antalya follow the coast via Kemer and Demre or cross the Taurus mountains. Antalya usually has a wider choice of flights. Without a car, you can take a bus from Antalya Otogar to Kaş, which takes about 4 hours on average according to one guide. You first need to get from the airport to the bus station.

Comparison of options

Option Göcek / Fethiye Marmaris Kaş Late at night Cost

Heading on to Rhodes or Kastellorizo

Marmaris: ferries to Rhodes leave from Marmaris, and the airport bus ends at the bus station outside the centre. See Marmaris to Rhodes ferry for operators and times, the Marmaris travel guide for the town, and where to stay in Marmaris for bases near the harbour.

Kaş: boats to Kastellorizo usually leave in the morning, so plan a night in Kaş before the crossing rather than going straight from the airport. See Kaş to Kastellorizo ferry, the Kaş travel guide and where to stay in Kaş.

For other crossings, see the ferry map. To estimate your overall budget, use the trip cost page.
